Ingredients

  • Orange Wax: Natural wax, upcycled from orange peels. Low melt point wax that provides a unique scent and color. Adds interest to the label and energy in the formula. Emollient. Usage level 0.5-10%.
  • Kester Wax K-24: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.
  • Kostol NatureMuls: Natural, PEG-free nonionic o/w emulsifier. Provides a medium to long break, with some viscosity growth. Can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier. Usage level 3-8%.

Procedure

  • Combine rice starch & water. Mix until fully dispersed.
  • Premix glycerin & gum, mix into above slurry while heating to 80-85°C, add Optiphen.
  • Combine Phase B & heat to 80-85°C, add to Phase A, & mix on high until smooth.
  • Cool at medium speed to <50°C. Fill into containers

Stability Information

Three months at room temperature, three months at 45°C, three freeze/thaw cycles.
