Ingredients

  • Ozokerite Wax 175: Ozokerites are blends of branched and linear hydrocarbons and provide different levels of structuring. Ozokerite 175 has excellent structuring capabilities in almost all liquid mediums. Usage level 1-15%.
  • Synkos M-1063: Synthetic wax that increases melt point and acts as a plasticizer in anhydrous formulas. Mimics the properties of higher melt point microcrystalline waxes. BHT free.
  • Kester Wax K-24: Naturally derived wax ester of plant origin. Low melt point semi-solid, melts on body contact, provides cooling sensation. Adds slip, reduces greasy feel, dimethicone alternative. Usage level up to 50%.

Procedure

  • Combine Phase B ingredients and mill until homogeneous.
  • Combine Phase A ingredients in a vessel, heat and mix until uniform.
  • Add Phase B to Phase A and mix.
  • Pour into containers at around 85° C, allow to cool to room temperature

Stability Information

Three months at 50° C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
