Microcrystalline Wax 150/165
Microcrystalline Wax 150/165 is a unique blend of higher alkanes. The long hydrocarbon chains result in high molecular weight and higher melting point. The branching of the alkanes provides unique properties to these waxes. Compared to Paraffin Waxes, Microcrystalline Waxes are characterized by their fine crystalline structure, they are more flexible, less oily, have higher tensile strength, more adhesion, and higher melt points. These waxes have excellent gelling properties, and Koster Keunen carries an assortment of different melt points and penetrations to best fit formulators’ requirements.
